Your info – what we collect and how we use it
There are two ways we collect information about you.
The personal info
When you fill in one of our forms (like our freelancer box) or download a document (like one of our articles) we might use this to get back to you if you’ve asked us a question, say.
We won’t pass your information on to anyone else (no matter how much money they offer us for it).
The anonymous info
We also automatically record information about your browsing habits – like when you’re logging on and where from, and what you look at when you’re here. We use this to help us understand how people are using the site, and hopefully make it better.
But we can’t link that data back to you – it’s completely anonymous.
Those cookies you keep hearing about
Cookies mean that a website will remember you. They’re small text files that sites transfer to your computer (or phone or tablet or iWotsit). They make interacting with a website faster and easier – for example by automatically filling your name and address in text fields.
Links to other sites
You’ll find links to other websites on our site. Bear in mind they’ll all have their own privacy policies, so don’t assume our rules are their rules. If you’re worried, take a look at their privacy statements before you get stuck into their sites.
Changing this policy
This policy isn’t set in stone – we can change at it at any time. If we do, we’ll make it clear on this page, so keep checking back. We keep all our old versions here. If we collected your info under an old version, those are the rules that apply.
