As part of our UK leadership team, you’ll have a say in the day-to-day running of the business and help us stay focused on our purpose: To find the words that shift the world.

Who you are

*         A senior creative consultant or creative director from a writing background who’s worked in an agency or client-side

*         Brimming with enthusiasm about language – and able to spark it in others

*         Driven not only by the quality of creative work, but also the results clients get from it

*         A leader and mentor with a track record of growing and developing teams

*         Brilliant at big-picture strategy, but still willing to get your hands dirty on day-to-day client work

*         Excited and curious about new technologies affecting business writing, including  AI and conversation design

*         Experienced in leading major creative projects and programmes, ideally for Global 500 clients

*         A persuasive pitcher and proposal writer, able to win over clients up to C-suite level

*         A confident and entertaining speaker and facilitator

*         Able to spot inefficient processes and identify ways to fix them

*         Allergic to brand-speak and corporate jargon

 

What you’ll do

Keep us top of our game and our industry

*         Always be on the lookout for new thinking and research and share it with the team

*         Help make us famous by writing blogs and articles, doing media interviews, and speaking at events

Lead, grow and inspire the creative team

*         Inspire the creative team to do award-worthy work

*         Run regular creative team meetings to share ideas and keep creative spirits up 

*         Regularly review the creative team structure to make sure we have the right roles represented, with a constant eye on the future

*         Work with the creative heads to identify any gaps in the creative team’s skills and knowledge, and make sure we plug those gaps with training and development

*         Manage the creative heads and some of the senior creative consultants

*         Make sure everyone on the creative team has measurable objectives, as well as career and development plans

*         Make sure we have a succession plan in place

*         Work with the US creative director to make sure knowledge is shared between teams and countries

Keep our products and services fresh and exciting

*         Spot opportunities to improve and expand on what we offer, and work with our leadership team, creative heads and US creative director to make it happen

*         Work with the US creative director to share ideas and join the dots between our US and UK teams

*         Bring new ideas to energise and inspire our global creative team

*         Make digital thinking part of our culture

Give our clients the best possible experience

*         Work with clients, our account team and our creative team to make sure our work helps clients hit (and smash) their objectives

*         Build relationships with key senior clients

*         Present to clients up to C-suite level with confidence and charm

*         Step in as necessary if clients are unhappy with our work, and make sure we celebrate with them when things go well

*         Work with the creative heads to come up with new ways to wow our clients at every step of the relationship

Influence the numbers

*         Make sure the team has the skills to plan and scope projects effectively, so we make the most of our time and the clients’ money

*         Spot opportunities to review our pricing, and work with the leadership team to make it happen

*         Work with the leadership team to hit our financial targets
