EA Fan Care Voice: Use It session

3 Tips to sharpen your writing

Ready for three more quick wins? These tips come straight from your EA Fan Care Voice: Use It session. Simple, practical, and ready to use.

1. Get to the point, fast Don't bury the lead. Start with what matters—especially if you need your reader to act.

Quick tip: Imagine they've only got 1% battery left. Will they get your main message in time?

2. Go from formal to normal Drop the corporate jargon. Write like you speak. Say "help" instead of "assist". Sound like a human, not a manual.

Quick tip: If you wouldn't say it to a friend, don't write it to a customer.

3. Keep your sentences short Long sentences lose people. Stick to one idea per sentence, five sentences per paragraph, no more than 20 words per sentence.

Quick tip: Read it aloud. If you need a breath, it's too long.
